Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m., during the first Worship Service and Children's Church follows during the second service, at 10:45 a.m.. The classes are grouped by age as follows:

Boardwalk – (K – 2^nd grade)

Children at this age are in the early part of their learning about Jesus. Thus the name Boardwalk for those just beginning their walk with the Lord.

Desert Joy’s Boardwalk meet every Sunday morning for Sunday School and then continue their time together in Children’s church.

In Boardwalk Children’s church you will experience….

*Bible Memory Program with recognition given every month in the bulletin for those who have participated.

*Monthly Bible Themes where a Bible character or story is studied for a month using many different learning styles such as Bible story, Video, object lesson, and crafts to get the message across.

*Children’s Special Programs for Christmas and other special days.

*Missions Projects           

Surf Zone – (3^rd- 4^th grade)

Surf Zone is deeper in the water and this class delves deeper into a knowledge and relationship with Christ Jesus.

In Surf Zone Children’s church you will experience….

Pier56 – (5^th- 6^th grade)

We believe the choices a pre-teen makes will determine their “current” in life. That is why we place importance on the student’s choices, and then help them to realize the seriousness of consequences, and to respond by making spiritual decisions leading them to a personal relationship with God.   We focus on choices they will make about God, Friendships, Personal Devotions, and Reactions to others.  

We do this through meeting every Sunday Morning for Sunday school, and then continuing their time into children’s Church.

During Children's Church, Pier 56 breaks off from the main group after a music and memory verse time.
